Where does it say he's definitely off to Ipswich? 🤔 It doesn't mucker, but if it's a toss up between us or them, he won't be coming to us 😏 Southampton are closing them down, Ipswich aren't as many points ahead as they were before, so players going to them won't just think they're a shoo in to be promoted. And I didn't realise Ipswich were a much bigger club than us, so they're a bigger draw... 🤷🏻♂️

I think it’s all about which 3 teams players think will be promoted in may, not who is the “biggest” club.

linkWest Brom and Sunderland emerge in hunt to sign Wales striker Kieffer Moore as £40,000-a-week Bournemouth development emerges in JanuaryWest Brom & Sunderland emerge in hunt to sign £40,000-a-wk PL striker, he's available - report West Brom and Sunderland are both interested in signing Bournemouth striker Kieffer Moore in the January transfer window, according to The Sun. The UK newspaper outlet (4 January) shared that the Cherries are open to selling the Welshman this month as he’s largely been unused by Andoni Iraoloa at the Vitality Stadium. The forward has only started one game – which came in the League Cup – this term and is expected to depart although his £40,000-a-wk wages mean a loan to a Championship club is more likely. West Brom West Brom, Leeds United, Middlesbrough and Sunderland have all emerged as clubs in the race for his signature this month with the Welsh international available for transfer. Huge decision Attacking transfers are very much needed at West Brom with Carlos Corberan suffering from an incredibly depleted weaponry at The Hawthorns right now. Grady Diangana has gone off to represent DR Congo at AFCON, Jeremy Sarmiento has only gone and returned to Brighton and then joined promotion rivals Ipswich while John Swift and Jed Wallace currently have injury issues. Brandon Thomas-Asante has enjoyed a decent season but cannot be relied upon to fire the goals Corberan needs to boost West Brom’s playoff push. Daryl Dike and Josh Maja are still out recovering from injury layoffs and whether they will provide the answers is incredibly uncertain. Kieffer Moore is an attractive proposition for Championship clubs given his aerial presence and suitability to the division but Corberan already possesses three strikers in his weaponry and a striker possesses similar qualities in Dike. Moore probably isn’t needed and West Brom will need to have their eyes peeled on attacking wingers and midfielders right now rather than pure number nines. That can wait till the summer.

'SUPPOSEDLY' Liverpool, Arsenal and City are eying Patterson in this transfer window, I honestly wouldn't lose any sleep if we cashed in on him.

EchoM'Vila teases Sunderland fans on social media following return reportsYann M'Vila certainly has Sunderland fans talking after a cryptic “like” on Instagram. The Frenchman is currently without a club after leaving Greek outfit Olympiacos at the end of last season but has been linked with a return to Wearside. It has been said that Sunderland have made 'contact' with the agent of their former midfielder with the 33-year-old 'liking' the story on Instagram when it was reshared by various accounts, which as has sent Wearsiders into a frenzy. One fan on social media said: "Yes please bring him in, a player that did well here and is desperate to come back, what are they waiting for." Another added: "We certainly leave a mark on some players - both Yann & Amad flirting with us - if one or both come it would certainly lift the mild apathy that’s beginning to seep in! We stupidly kept him waiting at an airport whilst N’Dong signed - so hopefully some unfinished business." Reports from Foot Mertaco have stated that Sunderland are still 'dreaming' of Yann M'Vila re-joining the club and that he remains one of their 'top' targets for this window. The outlet also states that there has been 'contact' made between the club and his agent. Reports also claim that The Black Cats were already interested in the Frenchman's profile last summer and discussions have resumed this winter ahead of a potential deal. Speaking to Le Progres recently, the midfielder has stated that he would return to Sunderland. “I spoke with a lot of Ligue 1 clubs, but I didn’t get the little thing. Given my qualities and my leadership, I think I can help a lot of teams. I believe in myself,” he said. "I don’t need the money. I want to play. With all the respect I have for Ligue 2, I don’t see myself playing in this championship. “There is only one club for which I would have agreed to return to the lower division for is Sunderland, to help them return to the Premier League. I had an extraordinary year there. I’m not just a footballer, I can help on and off the pitch, I know the moments of crisis. I am a reliable person. If you trust me, I’ll give it back to you a thousand times.”

linkAlex Pritchard transfer reports as Sunderland boss Michael Beale explains thoughts on playmaker's futureTurkish club Sivasspor have reportedly made an official offer to sign Sunderland playmaker Alex Pritchard. The 30-year-old's contract on Wearside is set to expire at the end of this season, while the club were prepared to let him leave during the summer window. Turkish TV reporter Ertan Suzgun from Sports Digitale has claimed Sivasspor have made a bid to sign Pritchard this month, while Championship side Birmingham and MLS club Colorado Rapids have also been credited with interest. After starting just four of Sunderland's first 20 league games this season, Pritchard has been a key player for the Black Cats in recent weeks. The 30-year-old has started the side's last three matches under Michael Beale, while scoring in a 2-0 win over Preston on New Year's Day. When asked about Pritchard's contract situation ahead of Friday's Championship match against Hull, Beale replied: “Alex has been excellent since I’ve come in. He missed the first couple of games but then he’s played very well. His contract situation was ongoing before I came in, that’s between him and the club. At the moment he’s here, he’s in our team and playing well so that’s my focus.” Pritchard signed for Sunderland in the summer of 2021, when they were in League One, and has made 114 appearances for the club. Should the Black Cats allow him to leave in January, they would want to sign a replacement first. Sunderland are also looking to sign another striker and central midfielder this month, with two weeks of the transfer window remaining.

linkSunderland have 'made a move' to sign 'excellent' 23-year-old in January windowMolly Burke Sunderland have been relatively quiet in the transfer window so far, with their interest in Kieffer Moore seemingly their only active pursuit as of late. photo:Getty Images While the Black Cats had also been linked with the likes of Jay Stansfield and Luke Thomas, their chase for a new midfielder hadn’t looked very promising. Michael Beale’s side are really lacking options in the middle of the park due to Corry Evans’ long-term injury, while Pierre Ekwah has been far from impressive in recent months. There was concern that Sunderland wouldn’t look to improve that position in January, but the latest transfer update makes it clear that it is on their list of priorities. According to Sky Sports journalist Keith Downie, Sunderland have ‘made a move’ to sign Barnsley’s Callum Styles. He wrote: “The Black Cats looking to bolster their midfield & loan with summer obligation has been suggested for the Hungary international. Far from a done deal though.” Styles will enter the final 12 months of his contract in the summer and has already attracted interest from the likes of Birmingham City and Hull, while Burnley and Sheffield United were also eager to bring the midfielder to the Premier League. It’s unclear how much Sunderland would have to pay to sign Styles in the summer, but it was reported in the summer that he could cost around £2 million. Who is Callum Styles? Callum Styles joined Barnsley from Bury in 2018 for only £500,000 and has gone onto make 151 appearances – scoring 13 goals and providing nine assists. After signing a new contract with The Tykes in 2022, the midfielder joined Championship club Millwall on a season-long loan. Styles made 22 appearances in the second tier as The Lions narrowly missed out on the play-offs by a single point. Despite being born in Bury, the ‘excellent’ 23-year-old was eligible to play for Ukraine and Hungary through his grandparents. Styles went onto make his debut for the Hungarian national team in March 2022 and has since earned 18 caps. He enjoyed a memorable start in Hungary’s shock 4-0 win over England in the Nations League three months after making his debut, where he played alongside current Liverpool star Dominic Szoboszlai. Styles has received praise from journalist Michael Graham, who wrote on X: Really nice left foot, can operate in tight spaces, good technique.”
