Supposedly Jobe Bellingham is worth £12m - if that's the case I would sell him in a heartbeat.

. . . . with a sell-on clause, obviously 😉 For what Jobe offers to the team the way we setup last season he can go for a good offer but if whoever comes in thinks they can get more out of him then I’m happy to keep him. How’s that for sitting on the fence 😄

How’s that for sitting on the fence 😄 From what I've seen of Jobe, he hasn't got the stomach for a fight, if we are playing well, then he's good, but if we fall behind or playing poorly then he's not interested and struts about, same goes for Ekwah.

linkBBC pundit comments on speculative Sunderland return for Jordan HendersonLuke Phelps BBC pundit Kieron Brady has commented on a speculative Sunderland return for former player Jordan Henderson. Henderson, now 33, is currently playing with Ajax in the Dutch Eredivisie, following a brief spell in Saudi Arabia with Steven Gerrard at Al-Ettifaq. The Sunderland-born midfielder left Liverpool after 12 years last summer to move to the Saudi Pro League where he spent just half-a-season. He then made the switch to Ajax in January 2024, signing a two-and-a-half year deal with the club and featuring nine times in the Dutch flight, claiming three assists. There’s been ongoing speculation on social media about a future return to the Stadium of Light for Henderson, which appears to have grown in recent weeks. Several fans have commented on a speculative return for the 81-cap England man and now Brady has had his say as well. Kieron Brady comments on Sunderland return for Jordan Henderson Speaking on Total Sport, BBC pundit and former Sunderland player Brady said: “He doesn’t fit the model.” Brady added: “He may well do it because I’m sure he’s earned a lot, and when you use the term ‘earned’, he has. He’s been a wonderful example of professionalism. “If he approached the club and said, ‘I’m available’, then who knows.” Henderson lifted the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Champions League and more with Liverpool. He made a total of 492 appearances for the club and scored 33 goals along the way, with 59 assists to his name too. Henderson began his career with Sunderland, making his debut during the 2008/09 season and eventually making 79 appearances for his hometown team, leaving for Anfield in a deal worth a reported £20million at the time. Sunderland chances of signing Jordan HendersonIt’s certainly a dream signing for fans; Henderson has proved to be a credit to Sunderland, going on to have a fruitful career on the club and international stage, earning a reputation as a truly hard-working and passionate player, as well as one with obvious quality. And he’s now at something of a crossroads in his career. He’s settled at Ajax and under contract for a couple more years yet, but come the summer of 2026, he’ll be out of contract. By that time, Henderson will be 35 and in the later chapter of his career, perhaps looking for one final move to see out a prolonged and illustrious career. And a return to Sunderland where it all started would cap it off nicely. Though the main question may be about money. He was earning a reported £350,000-a-week in Saudi Arabia but he’s taken a huge pay cut to join Ajax; GOAL claim that Henderson now earns £74,000-a-week. That’s still a huge amount of money. But it shows that Henderson perhaps has enough now to fulfil other ambitions and focus on his happiness. Another drastic pay cut would be needed to entice Kyril Louis-Dreyfus into bringing Henderson back to Sunderland. But in a couple of year’s time, the stars may align for the Black Cats and Henderson, so long as they’re in the Championship or higher.

Supposedly WBA have put a bid in for Ballard.
Don't care how much it is, we shouldn't be selling our best players to promotion rivals.
And I use promotion lightly.

A goalkeeper is the last thing we need FFS Not if the club are selling Patterson. 😉 Then he'll not be cover for Patterson, TBH wouldn't care if we sold Patto, as long as we got good money for him.

EchoTwo in, one out? Sunderland linked with double transfer deal and £8m exitThe latest transfer headlines from around the web as Sunderland search for a new head coach It is now 120 days since Sunderland sacked head coach Michael Beale after the former Rangers man’s poor start to life at the Academy of Light. Mike Dodds took interim charge until the end of the 2023-24 campaign with the Black Cats finishing in a disappointing 16th place in the Championship. Despite Sunderland’s lack of a permanent head coach, however, the club are still being linked with several incoming and outgoing transfer deals with the window now open. Here, we take a look at the latest headlines that you may have missed: Simon Moore ‘in talks’ with SunderlandSunderland's goalkeeping options look set for a summer reshuffle with former Coventry City goalkeeper Simon Moore in talks over a switch to Wearside this summer. As first reported by Alan Nixon, the 34-year-old is a potential target for the Black Cats after the Sky Blues confirmed in their retained list earlier this summer that he would be leaving the club. Moore made 46 appearances across three seasons at Coventry City. Scott Twine linksSunderland have been linked with a deal for Burnley midfielder Scott Twine. The Sun have stated that Twine, who joined Burnley from MK Dons for a fee believed to be around £4million, will leave Turf Moor this summer. Their report also adds that League One club Birmingham City are “keen” on Twine and have already “made an inquiry”. However, they also say that Sunderland and former loan club Bristol City “may join in the auction”. Trai Hume linked with Premier League clubsSunderland defender Trai Hume has been linked with two more clubs in the Premier League this week. The 22-year-old signed a contract extension last summer, prolonging his deal until 2027 - with an option of a further year. Hume’s form, however, has led to reported interest from several clubs. Football Insider have stated that both Aston Villa and Bournemouth are keen on the player. Sunday Life Sport also recently claimed that Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Leicester City, Leeds United and Italian club Napoli are “keeping an eye on” the Northern Ireland international’s progress. It has been reported that Sunderland are looking for a fee in the region of £8million.
