He's the former, shite.
He's the cheapest option no doubt and he's probably the only one to buy into SAFC's setup.
I'm finished if he comes, I called it a day when Bruce took the reigns and never came back until he left.

link‘Player of constant danger’ – Sunderland make offer, have to convince club for signing next monthSunderland have identified Sevilla’s Musa Drammeh as a transfer target, according to a report from Spain. The La Liga side signed the winger from Extramadura in January 2022 and he’s been part of Sevilla Atlético [the club’s reserve team] since then. Diario de Sevilla state the 22-year-old is a ‘very important player’ for Sevilla Atlético and his form has seen Sunderland take notice. Sevilla initially found it difficult to find Musa’s best position on the pitch and that impacted his performances. Antonio Hidalgo was the reserve manager last season and Diario de Sevilla say he ‘knew how to understand his qualities as a footballer and took full advantage of them to turn him into a player of constant danger.’ After being used mainly as a substitute last season, the Gambian has started to enjoy more minutes this season. He’s scored five goals and registered two assists from 15 games. The Black Cats have sent scouts to watch the player and are pleased with his displays, so much so that they made an offer. The report provides no details of the proposal tabled by Michael Beale’s side but states Sevilla have ‘rejected it’. That’s because the Andalusian club see Musa Drammeh as a key player for Sevilla Atlético and believe he could also serve their first team in the future. His contract lasts until 2025 and Sevilla expect him to continue with the reserve team, at least until the end of this season. It needs to be seen whether Sunderland will return with an improved offer and if they do, they will have to convince Sevilla to let Musa go next month

ALSTRANSFER RUMOUR ROUNDUPBY DANIEL McCALLUM Jobe Bellingham seems to be attracting a lot of interest, while Sunderland have supposedly had a bid rejected for a striker... BELLINGHAM LINKED AWAY Jobe's name has been in the papers for the last couple of days, with Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Real Madrid all credited with an interest in the midfielder. The 18-year-old is already being touted for a huge future, after playing almost every game for Sunderland so far this season. Of course, being Jude's little brother adds pressure but also means the world will be keeping a keen eye on his progress. He has made 21 appearances in the Championship so far, scoring four times and assisting once. He's been the Black Cats' best summer signing by a country mile - earning nearly three times as many minutes as the next most selected signing Mason Burstow. BID FOR STRIKER REJECTED Sunderland have reportedly seen a bid rejected for Sevilla forward Musa Drammeh. It had been reported that the Black Cats had sent scouts over to Spain to watch the striker play for Sevilla's B team, where he has impressed both as a number nine and on the right wing. The 22-year-old's contract runs out at the end of the season which has attracted interest from SAFC and Birmingham City, but the Spanish side supposedly have the option to extend the deal by a year - meaning they won't be forced to sell for cheap in January. The Gambian man is regarded as an important player for Sevilla's reserves, whilst also pushing for a place in the first team in recent weeks.

If true looks as though the club is cashing in on Clarke I actually wouldn't be too upset, Clarke had been a revelation this season and back end of last, but, I think we play far too much down the left and I think it's restricting our attacking intent, plus the opposition know how to play against us.

link"Too much of a gamble" - Pundit warns Sunderland AFC against signing 17-goal strikerSunderland have been linked with a move for Kashiwa Reysol striker Mao Hosoya in January. Pundit Carlton Palmer believes the signing of Kashiwa Reysol striker Mao Hosoya would be too much of a risk for Sunderland. It seems that bringing in a striker is a priority for Sunderland in the January transfer window, and they are said to have had a bid rejected for Sevilla's Musa Drammeh, but according to Sunderland Nation, the Black Cats are interested in Hosoya. Hosoya has scored 17 goals and provided one assist in 44 appearances in all competitions for Kashiwa Reysol this season, and his impressive form earned him a call-up to the senior Japan squad at international level. The 22-year-old scored his first goal for his country against Syria in November, and he is set to be involved in the squad for the upcoming Asia Cup. Sunderland lost star striker Ross Stewart to Southampton this summer, and none of the club's current strikers, Luis Hemir Semedo, Mason Burstow, Eliezer Mayenda and Nazariy Rusyn, have found the back of the net so far this season. The Black Cats currently sit seventh in the Championship table, three points from the play-off places, and new head coach Michael Beale takes charge for the first time when they face Coventry City at the Stadium of Light on Saturday. Palmer: Hosoya would be a gamble for Sunderland Speaking exclusively to Football League World, Palmer said that while Hosoya would be a good long-term addition for Sunderland, the Black Cats need a striker who can make an instant impact. "Sunderland are looking to solve their striking woes in the January transfer window, and one player who has emerged as a possible target is highly-rated Japanese youngster Mao Hosoya," Palmer said. "The 20-year-old is considered one of the top prospects in his homeland. "He has scored 14 goals so far this season in the J1-League, and this has earned him a call-up to the Japanese senior squad. "On paper, this would appear to be a good signing, but he won't come cheap as he's under contract until the summer of 2027. "Mao has also been called up to the Asia Cup, which runs from the 12th January - 10th February, which means he would miss five league games for Sunderland. "Sunderland need a striker now and somebody to make an impact straight away. "I think Mao would be a good buy for the future, but too much of a gamble right now."

So he's off to Ipswich and I wouldn't blame him, they will offer him better money, plus he will get a better service to score. We'll probably end up with Lisa

EchoSunderland linked with double transfer deal for Leeds United and non-league playersThe latest transfer news sees Sunderland linked with a double deal now the window has officially opened. Sunderland have been linked with a double transfer deal with the winter window now open for Premier League and EFL clubs. First up, several clubs are said to be monitoring Aldershot Town star Joshua Stokes ahead of a potential move in the January transfer window. The midfielder has netted 15 goals since his summer move to the club from Sudbury with his club sitting 10th in the National League. Reports have stated that the 19-year-old has been followed by Championship trio Norwich, Ipswich and Sunderland, as well as League One's Derby County, Charlton Athletic and AFC Wimbledon. Sunderland have also been re-linked with Leeds United's ex-Millwall loanee defender Charlie Cresswell with the centre-half struggling for game time under Whites boss Daniel Farke. Cresswell, who has previously been linked with Sunderland several times during recent windows, is thought to be a player who could leave Elland Road during the winter window, with former loan club Millwall and league rivals Middlesbrough thought to be keen. The 21-year-old centre-back's chances have been few and far between under Farke, with the England youth international making just four appearances in the Championship so far this season. Middlesbrough, though, have done recent loan business with Leeds after managing to sign Black Cats fan Sam Greenwood under the Black Cats' noses last summer. Cresswell is said to be open to a move away from Elland Road with Ipswich Town, Southampton and Rangers all credited with an interest in the highly-rated England under-21 international during the January transfer window, which opened on the first of this month.
