safcSoL to host inaugural light showThe Stadium of Light’s inaugural light show will take place on Tuesday evening when Sunderland AFC host Derby County. Powered by Thorn Lighting, the show will begin at 19:30 and include flashing lights synced to the Club’s pre-match playlist to amplify the final countdown to kick off. The show will conclude as the teams exit the tunnel and enter the field of play, and the technology may also be utilised for a short period after the final whistle. Following a summer of significant investment at the Stadium of Light, including the installation of a Bose Professional sound system, the show will add a new dimension to the matchday experience on Wearside. Supporters with photosensitive disorders, sensitivities to strobe lighting and/or adverse reactions to flashing light are advised that they may wish to avoid being within the stadium bowl until the show has concluded. The light show will be utilised at all evening fixtures moving forward, including Friday’s fixture versus Leeds United. Technical information LED Floodlights : 204 x Thorn Altis Gen 5 floodlights, UK manufactured in County Durham, 5700k CCT, low flicker operation <0.2%, spill light control with a ULOR of 0%, 90+ on TLCI (Television Lighting Consistency index) with slow motion broadcasting up to 1000 fps. The system is powered by a DMW remote driver to work in conjunction with a Pharos lighting control system to provide dynamic light shows and also control the lights via dimming of individual luminaires to achieve UEFA lighting level A levels standards. I watched Derby County on our BBC local news last night - they are a very physical team especially up front.

Dan the man has kept his place 😳 Not surprised one bit Les. Managers and coaches, for some reason, protect their captains, even if they are playing crap.
