Sitting back, just can't get hold of the ball. When we do get it, we give it away needlessly by panic passes I think the sitting back bit was deliberate because of the Friday game, Ray.

How the feck did Dan Neil get MoM, unbelievable.
There were 10 better players on the pitch who should have got it before him, beggers belief.
He's been getting pelters because of it on a few SAFC forums.
Some say get off his back because he's "one of us" feck aff, if he's not good enough then he should be dropped, for me Ballard should partner Mepham, 09 should should play in the defensive midfield role in front of the back 4, give him the captaincy, he can tackle, head the ball and pass the ball better than Neil, Browne and Rigg to play further forward. It was Neil's bollick where he lost the ball that let Jobe in to score.

It's maybe 'cos he had a very good game 😇 You're kidding me surely 😂 Not from what I saw, like I said earlier, there were 10 players on that pitch that deserved it more. On most of the fan forums, nearly everyone agreed he was certainly not man of the match. Beleive me, Nobody more than me would love him to be a superstar and tear this league apart

I agree that he wasn't the M.o.M. too, Ray, but he doesn't deserve any 'stick' for his peformance, which was good 👍

I agree that he wasn't the M.o.M. too, Ray, but he doesn't deserve any 'stick' for his peformance, which was good 👍 I've never boo'ed any Sunderland team or players, but I understand some that do, it's the only way the fans can get across to them that they are not too pleased with their performance. In my opinion I don't think he's good enough to keep the likes of Rigg, Browne out of the team. I was Clarkes biggest critic when he first came to us, he couldn't cross or shoot with his left foot, his shooting with his right was abysmal in fact I thought he was a one trick pony. But as the games and seasons went on, he improved every game, the coaches must have worked on him and he was a diamond when he left, afraid to say Neil hasn't done that, he hasn't progressed since he came into the team, but that's my opinion, some think he's fantastic and that's their opinion.

Either way, I'd be surprised if Neil isn't rested on Friday and Browne plays instead. He's one of those that can be rested so I guess it makes sense.
