But I think he just doesn't want to be at Sunderland, body language says it all. Hell probably thrive at Juve š

linkSunderland could make seven-figure profit as Luis Hemir closes in on Juventus moveSunderland fans were left baffled today as reports emerged of Luis Hemirās move to Juventus. Many supporters refused to believe it before further reports claimed he was indeed set to join the Italian giants on loan. Hemirās exit is yet to be confirmed, but it is expected that he will join Juventus on loan with the option to buy from Sunderland. Benficaās president confirmed last summer that the Black Cats paid Ā£420,000 for the striker last summer, while they could pay up to an extra Ā£840k in add-ons. Given how poorly he did in his first season on Wearside, it seems unlikely that they would have to cough up more cash. Sunderland set for huge profit from Hemir exitSunderland fans definitely wonāt have expected to make a profit on Hemir so soon, but it now appears that they could well make plenty of money from his potential exit. According to journalist James Copley, the Wearside outfit could even make a seven-figure profit from the Portuguese youngster. Copley wrote on X: āReports from Italy on Hemir to Juventus Next Gen. Season-long loan with a buy-out price set at ā¬3million euros for Hemir plus ā¬2million in bonuses. 20 per cent of the future fee also included.ā How have Sunderland managed that? While the bonuses arenāt guaranteed, a permanent deal for Hemir next summer would already gift Sunderland a huge profit. While the 21-year-old will join Juventus Next Gen rather than their senior team, it is unbelievable that they are willing to pay such a fee after his disastrous time at the Stadium of Light. Sunderland will happily take the cash and run though, and while it has been a very poor signing, there can be fewer complaints if they are to rake in seven figures next summer. It seems unlikely that Hemir will play for Sunderland again even if Juventus choose to send him back to Wearside. He seems far from Championship level and with the club eager for promotion, he certainly wouldnāt be ready for the Premier League.

safcLoan: Ekwah joins Saint-ĆtiennePierre Ekwah has left Sunderland AFC and joined AS Saint-Ćtienne on loan. The 22-year-old will spend the 2024-25 season with Les Verts, who returned to Ligue 1 in May after winning the second division Play-Offs. Ekwah moved to the Stadium of Light from West Ham United in January 2023 and made 61 appearances for the Black Cats, scoring five goals. An option for Saint-Ćtienne to make the transfer permanent following the conclusion of the campaign is included in the agreement. Kristjaan Speakman said: Bonne chance, Pierre!

echoThe transfer deals that are still in play at Sunderland in the final hour of the summer windowPhil Smith Sunderland are working to make additions in the final hour of the windowSunderland have entered the final hour of the summer transfer window with a number of deals still in play. The Black Cats have confirmed three departures so far, with Pierre Ekwah joining Ligue 1 side St Etienne. They have an option to make the deal permanent next summer for a fee reported in the French press to be around the Ā£6 million mark, while they will also pay a seven-figure fee for Ekwah's services this season. Timothee Pembele has gone on loan to Le Havre and Nectar Triantis to Hibs, though neither is with an option to buy. There are potentially more outgoings to come in the final stages of the window, with Luis Hemir set to join Juventus on loan. He'll go into the 'next gen' squad who play in Serie C, and there is an option to buy included in that deal. It's been reported in the Italian media to be in the region of Ā£2.5 million with future bonuses. The key focus in the final hour will be on incomings. The Black Cats have agreed loan deals to sign Chris Mepham and Samis Abdul Samed from Bournemouth and RC Lens respectively, and both deal are understood to remain on track as things stand. They are expected to be confirmed unless there are any late issues, with the Black Cats remain confident that they can also sign talented Serbian midfielder Milan Aleksic before the end of the deadline. Work is ongoing to try and bolster the club's striking options for the next few months. It has again been a frustrating search for additional firepower and as things stand, talks to sign Gent striker Ahmed Abdullahi are ongoing. The Black Cats tabled a bid earlier today reported to be in the region of Ā£1.7 million before future bonuses etc. There remains a chance Abdullahi could make the switch before the end of the window and while further striker deals cannot be ruled out, they of course appear increasingly unlikely as the end of the window draws near. Abdullahi is at this stage thought to be the most realistic addition, though time will tell whether proves to the case. With 'deal sheets' no longer in place across the EFL, all paperwork on every deal has to be concluded by 11pm. Deals can be announced after that point but only if all relevant documents have been submitted. Sunderland seem certain to get business done but just how much they can pull off remains to be seen as fans wait anxiously for updates.
