Just when you thought it couldn't get worse...
Reports suggest that the mags are being taken over by an Arab sheikh. A relative of man city's owner apparently.
If true, I'm giving up on football. While genuinely exciting for those involved, it just makes it pointless for those without the means to compete.

While genuinely exciting for those involved, it just makes it pointless for those without the means to compete. We are already close to the situation in England, like in Scotland and Spain and France where the prizes are destined for only a very few clubs. True, the odd Season produces a Leicester, but these are as rare as hens teeth. In a way introducing another 'sugar daddy' who is prepared to bankroll a Club to success at any price might add a bit more spice in England by making it harder for the current crop of regular winners. But, today of all days, is really turning up the heat on us long suffering souls. Of course it MIGHT be a wind up. Hope costs nowt.

Could this attachment be 'City or Liverpool's new competition ? It is funny but to be fair we have fa to laugh about and I would rather be in the mags shoes than ours at the moment.

What's happening with this? Just a 'flight of fancy' on my part, BUT Mike apparently got his asking price agreed with little of the usual 'bargaining'. This might have made him think that he wasn't asking enough. Could he have gone back for more and been told 'imshi'? Hope continues to cost nowt.
