SAFC East Stand bricksEarlier this week, Sunderland AFC announced a new 10-year partnership with Fanatics. This included that a brand-new stadium store will open at Black Cat House in summer 2024, as part of a transformational period for the Club’s retail operation. Information relating to further developments to the Club’s ticketing and fan servicing operations will also be communicated shortly. Ahead of this, fans are advised that the proposed changes will unfortunately result in the displacement of the personalised bricks located in panel eight on the East Stand. We understand the deep emotional and personal significance associated with personalised bricks and we will be engaging closely with the fans impacted to discuss the steps involved in this process, which will conclude with the bricks moving to a new location. Although the Club have up-to-date contact details for many of the fans affected, the bricks on panel eight were installed more than 25 years ago. If you believe you or someone you know has a personalised brick located in panel eight, it would be greatly appreciated if you could please reach out to the Club as soon as possible. You can do this by emailing panel8@safc.com. A member of our team will subsequently be in touch to ensure you are supported throughout this process, which we will endeavour to handle with care and consideration.

Once again the owner has spared no thought about supporters.
They are moving the personalised bricks in the East Stand, bricks that have been there for nigh on 25 years, bricks that were chosen to be placed there and and could be quite emotionally to someone if moved, so they can install a 'shop' another money making venture.

It says that it's going to be a part of Black Cats House, doesn't it . . . . not a part of The Stadium 🤔

safcPersonalised bricks updateLast week, Sunderland AFC updated supporters regarding the displacement of personalised bricks located in panel eight on the East Stand. This is due to a brand-new stadium store opening at Black Cat House this summer and the subsequent relocation of the Club’s ticketing operation. Further information relating to these developments is available here. Our internal records estimate that 447 supporters will be affected by this and more than 180, who we thank for their support in this process, have already been in touch via email. The Club also has postal addresses on file from the point of purchase for all of the fans impacted and we have matched over 100 of these to our current email database. For the supporters we have been unable to match via our current email database, or who have not contacted the Club, we will be sending out a physical mailer to the address provided at the point of purchase. Although many fans may have moved house since these bricks were purchased more than 25 years ago, we hope this will enable us to reach as many of the fans affected as possible. Understandably, we will unfortunately not be able to locate all of those impacted directly and we are therefore encouraging fans to spread the word. In June, the Club will invite the fans affected to the Stadium of Light to present the new location of their personalised bricks. In the meantime, if you believe you or someone you know has a personalised brick located in panel eight, it would be greatly appreciated if you could please reach out to the Club as soon as possible. If you believe your brick may be located in panel eight, an image is available here. To get in touch, please email panel8@safc.com, or visit the Stadium of Light ticket office, which is now located at the stadium store.
