safcLads travel to Birmingham CityGet the low down on all you need to know ahead of the Ladsā trip to the Midlandsā¦ Opposition Birmingham City sit in 18th place in the Sky Bet Championship table after 31 games with nine wins, eight draws and 14 defeats this season. The Blues current man at the dugout is former Sunderland head coach Tony Mowbray who was appointed in January 2024. Heās won three, drawn one and lost three of his seven games in charge so far. Mowbray was in charge at the Stadium of Light for just over 15 months and completed a Play-Off finish in the Ladsā first season back in the second tier. The clubās top scorer this season is Jay Stansfield who currently sits on nine goals in all competitions this season. Birmingham City also have Alex Pritchard in their ranks following his January move from Wearside to the Midlands. Team News Patrick Roberts looks set to miss this weekendās trip to Birmingham City after picking up a hamstring injury in the midweek game against Huddersfield Town. The winger will undergo a scan to examine the extent of the injury. Elliot Embleton is nearing a return to full fitness but this weekend will come too soon for the attacking midfielder. Meanwhile, Callum Styles could be in contention following his recovery from appendix surgery. Aji Alese, Dennis Cirkin, Bradley Dack and Corry Evans are all continuing their respective recoveries from long-term injuries whilst Evans is now training on the grass. Niall Huggins is ruled out for the remainder and is current undergoing rehabilitation following knee surgery.

Mundle makes first start
Romaine Mundle makes his full Sunderland debut in replace of Abdoullah Ba as Head Coach Michael Beale makes two changes ahead of todayās Sky Bet Championship fixture against Birmingham City.
Mason Burstow also comes into the starting XI with Nazariy Rusyn dropping to the bench. There is no place in the matchday squad for Patrick Roberts after the winger picked up a hamstring injury in the midweek defeat to Huddersfield Town.
January signing Callum Styles also misses out as he continues to recover from appendix surgery but academy prospects Chris Rigg and Caden Kelly both have a place on the bench.
Niall Huggins, Aji Alese, Bradley Dack, Dennis Cirkin and Corry Evans all remain out with their respective injuries.
SAFC XI: Patterson, Hume, OāNien Ā©, Ballard, Hjelde, Neil, Ekwah, Jobe, Mundle, Clarke, Burstow.
Substitutions: Bishop, Pembele, Hemir, Rusyn, Aouchiche, Seelt, Ba, Rigg, Kelly.

Might be cynical, but is a coincidence that that's the best I've seen Jobe play, putting himself about all over the pitch, not his usual 50% half hearted, wonder why š¤
Surely not because its against his old team š
