Gone for a Sunderland win because I’m hoping the caretaker coach will play one or even two strikers on Tuesday night.
Today was to give Leeds a false sense of security 🤡

Honestly don't think it's the strikers fault Poly, none of them have been given the service they need in the way we play, if I was cynical, I would suggest Mowbray done it on purpose to make a point to the owners that they didn't buy what he wanted. Mowbray was buming up Mayenda before he played him, telling the supporters that they would love the lad as he had wonderful left peg and he was direct, then when he did play him, he played him out right and brought Paddy into the centre 🙄😬

I would like to see the kid Chris Rigg get a start alongside Burstow or Rusyn, whichever is the better fit. A good old 4-4-2

linkLads host Leeds UnitedSunderland will look for back-to-back home wins when they face Leeds United on Tuesday evening in the Sky Bet Championship. Following Saturday’s victory over West Bromwich Albion, the Lads will be looking to consolidate their position within the play-off places when they face Daniel Farke’s promotion-chasing Whites. Opposition Leeds currently sit third in the league table on 41 points from 20 matches. The Elland Road outfit have won 12, drawn five and suffered just three defeats - all of which have come away from home this campaign. The visitors have registered six wins in their last seven league matches. Leeds' last defeat came back in October when they lost 1-0 against Stoke City – the fixture was also the last time Farke’s side failed to score. The Whites boast the Championship's second meanest defence having conceded just 20 goals, only table-toppers Leicester City (12) have conceded fewer goals. At the opposite end of the pitch Farke’s side sit third for goals scored (36) in the division, only Ipswich Town (43) and Leicester City (38) have found the back of the net on more occasions so far this season. Crysencio Summerville leads the way with nine goals and six assists in 17 matches. Georginio Rutter is another dangerman, Leeds' record signing has notched four goals and provided eight assists to date. A familiar face returning to Wearside will be Joe Gelhardt. The 21-year-old scored three goals in 20 appearances while on loan at the Black Cats during the second half of last season. Sunderland’s last league victory against tomorrow’s opponents came back in December 2006. Second-half strikes from David Connolly and Grant Leadbitter sealed a 2-0 victory. Team News Ahead of Tuesday’s match interim manager Mike Dodds has confirmed there are no new injury concerns following Saturday’s victory and expects the same squad to face Leeds United. Chris Rigg completed 90 minutes during midweek for the U18s but will not be available for tomorrow’s match as he continues to build up his match fitness. Dennis Cirkin and attacker Jewison Bennette will not feature, the latter is unavailable as he recovers from an ankle knock picked up in training. Long-term absentees Corry Evans, Elliot Embleton, Aji Alese, Jay Matete and Timothee Pembele all remain out as they continue to step up their rehabilitation from their respective injuries.

linkAn update ahead of Leeds clashMike Dodds takes control of first-team duties for the second consecutive match following Saturday’s 2-1 victory over West Bromwich Albion. Sunderland’s interim Head Coach has provided an injury update ahead of tomorrow’s Sky Bet Championship fixture against Leeds United. “There are some slight illnesses but nothing to worry about so there will be no major changes.” On Chris Rigg: “We have an FA Youth Cup match on Thursday evening, which he will be involved in. “He's training with us every day so he’s still getting the right information, but I think sometimes you forget what he needs right now and that is minutes to develop. He's very much in our plans and he's going to be a big player for this football club.” Dodds explained. On Jewison Bennette, Dodds said: “He came back from international duty and was off for a good few days with a flu virus. “He has since come back into training but got a slight ankle knock, so missed the West Brom match as a precaution more than anything else. “He got a kick in one of the small-sided games, so he wasn't involved in the squad on Saturday, and he hasn't trained today. “He won't be in the squad for Tuesday, but we are hoping he is back on Thursday or Friday.”
