What would make you lot happy?
I know we ain't going to win every game and I think everyone knew that Burton were no pushovers, their previous game showed that..........but
I would like a team that competes in every game and a manager who has the balls to go for a win rather than play safe or tries to protect a 1-0 advantage. nothing much to ask for.

What would make you lot happy? Seriously? A cast iron guarantee that we win every game in style? That's not football. That's not real life. We used to mock Newcastle fans for their demands but here we are, having narrowly avoided administration, with a manager that didn't have a squad at the start of the season, and the players he had were all expected to leave. But hey! We want instant redemption! We want, not only to be comfortably top of the league, but to win every game in style! I'm not just talking about this forum. At Wembley, McLoughlin made an error for their goal. A bloke behind screamed 'See! I told you! He is NEVER a keeper! Never in this f*cking world! Never ever!' Sh*te like this makes me want to walk away from the whole damn mess. I don't see what the problem is, bearing in mind the level we're at, the money we've spent & the stage of the season we are at, why we can't go into every game with the expectation of winning it. I would certainly expect the manager of my side to at least set his team out to fulfil that expectation. Too often this season Ross has not done that, and that's why the fans can be, shall we say OTT in their criticism when things go wrong.
Sure Ross was faced with all sorts of problems when he first arrived, and unlike some, I would have been more than happy at the start of the season to be where we are right now. However, when you build up expectations amongst the fans, when those expectations aren't reached you get a backlash. As we've seen countless times across the leagues, and across football in general, this isn't a thing suffered by Sunderland only. Every club suffers from it. You only have to look at how Arsenal fans were moaning because they hadn't qualified for the Champions League to see that.

Because of "our budget" at the start of the season, the fact we were every bookies favourite to be promoted as Leagues Champions the expectations were there before a ball had been kicked. And the expectations were not created by the fans.
Bearing in mind the season we have had on the pitch I think fans can be justified in feeling we have underachieved and struggled in many a game.

I think that what 'Eftiem' is referring to is the negativity and whingeing on here . . . . and there is, surprisingly to me, too, quite a bit of it
We are all entitled to say what we think, but I've thought a few times 'I wouldn't like to sit next to him at the match'
I'm very happy that we're where we are now compared to where we were at this time last year, and we'll always get perennial whingers, but this is a time where I think we should be positive and we should show that positivity when we can, and that doesn't come across very often at all here . . . . sorry, but, because of the impression given, that's what I think

I think because of how big the club is and the division it is in that the expectations are high, for me I cannot stand watching negative football or protecting leads when we score 1-0 ones, boils me piss, especially in this league not just Sunderland any other club side.
I am happy where we are but I just want to see us going for it after we go 1-0 up or take a lead, lets get another one etc and put the game out of sight, you can do that in this league with the players we have, for me anyway.
