safcAaron Connolly joins Sunderland AFC Sunderland AFC is delighted to announce the signing of striker Aaron Connolly. The Republic of Ireland international arrived on Wearside earlier this week and has signed a one-year deal at the Stadium of Light. Connolly, 24, spent last season at Hull City, scoring eight goals in 13 Sky Bet Championship starts. Following his arrival, he said: “I feel very privileged to sign for Sunderland. I have only been up here for a short while, but it’s easy to see what this Club means to people and the atmosphere on Saturday showed that. I want to represent that in the right way and pay back the faith the Club has placed in me by playing well and doing what I love more than anything, which is scoring goals. I’m ready to move forward with my career after facing some challenges in recent times and I fully understand the huge opportunity I have ahead of me.”

On 2 August 2023, Connolly signed a one-year deal with Hull City for an undisclosed fee. On 12 August 2023, Connolly came off the bench against Sheffield Wednesday to score his first goal as a permanent player for Hull City. On 19 May 2024, the club announced he would be released in the summer when his contract expired

Not a bad return 8 goals in 13 games.
Hope he'll get a chance as I think Mayenda will be the first on team sheet and depends if LB thinks Isidor is a striker or an out and out wide man and Abdullahi is one for the future.
