Look at our list of Managers over, say, the last 50 years. Then see how many times changing one brought an improvement. And while you are drawing up lists of what we had going for us last Season, please don't forget the negatives like a budget skewed by a residue of players on Premier League contracts, admittedly with relegation clauses, but massively over the average for this league. Those who complain about 19 draws would have been even less happy if it had been 19 defeats!! As far as I know our Managers reputation in Scotland was not based on a negative style of play, quite the opposite. So why the change here? Might I suggest that he may not have had the squad he might have liked, despite the biggest budget in the division. The old adage about making a silk purse out of a sows ear come to mind to some degree. In all this I have no firm view about keeping or sacking the present incumbent. But before getting rid of him consider the benefits of stability. After all he can't have become a bad Manager just because he moved here.I don't know it seems to happen to a lot of players who come here

You'll destroy the negativity, man, Poly You wont, like . . . . not on here Gordon, I more than most feel very negative towards Mr Ross and Sunderlands future with him in charge. If you have seen anything positive about last season, pray enlighten me and cheer me a tad, Apart from not getting relegated 😁that is. And I don't see five defeats as a positive, not with 19 draws to back it up. Poly said that he more or less done well in Scotland, well I'm afraid his win rate was worse than ours last season, in fact he either lost or drew nearly 50% if his games, in a shite, mediocre league, as most have pointed out. Won't even state his record for the other team he managed Alloa, abysmal.

IF the rumoured Takeover/New Investment materialises I suspect that the new man/people will want to appoint a Manager of their choosing. That's what usually happens.
Then us fans will be massively supportive of the new man and of course, The Team. That's what usually happens.
Then as soon as something goes wrong, or even not quite right, there will be an up swell of discontent and calls to replace the Manager. That's what usually happens.
I'll post on, ad nauseum, asking for continuity. Such a minority view will be shared by only a very few. That's what usually happens.
I believe that Big Sam remains unemployed, (though no doubt doing Consultancy Work).
(I trust that this is negative enough for you Gordon).

You didn't whinge about the manager or the heirarchy, Poly, and forget about any good that happens, so no, it's not negative enough . . . . stop being so positive
