Several pre-season fixtures confirmed
Sunderland AFC is pleased to announce the Club’s first slate of pre-season fixtures ahead of the 2024-25 Sky Bet Championship campaign.
The Black Cats will face South Shields, Gateshead, Blackpool and Bradford City as part of their preparations for the new season.
After returning to the Academy of Light in late June, the men’s team will face a north-east double-header on Saturday 13 July when they travel to South Shields and Gateshead.
The Lads will take on South Shields at the 1st Cloud Arena at 12.30pm before heading to the Gateshead International Stadium to face Rob Elliot’s side at 5pm.
A week-long trip to Alicante follows, as the Black Cats travel to Costa Blanca on Monday 15 July, with two fixtures scheduled to take place on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 July.
Further details relating to these games will be confirmed shortly and we appreciate fans’ patience during the interim period.
After returning to the UK, the Black Cats will face Blackpool at Bloomfield Road on Saturday 27 July (KO 3pm) before travelling to Bradford City on Tuesday 30 July (KO 7.30pm).
The Club’s final pre-season fixture will be contested on the weekend of 3 August, with an opponent and venue to be confirmed.
