Extra options in this poll to allow for the penalties scenario.
Obviously a draw isn't an option in this game

I think this one will go right to the wire - I just hope our players don't bottle it.
Same nerves and target for both teams

I have decided to be optimistic and gone for a Sunderland win, Portsmouth have been shaky as well and I think with the stronger players coming back and Maguire getting sharper we will prove to strong for them over 2 legs.

Do away goals count double?
Our scoring in games rate is pretty good but I don't know if we have enough about us defensively to get through.

www.safc.com/news/team-news/2019/may/ross-on-portsmouth-winRoss focused on Thursday's showdownJack Ross has sent out an important message to his players ahead of Thursday’s seismic Play-Off second leg at Portsmouth. Sunderland take a slender 1-0 lead with them to Fratton Park, thanks to Chris Maguire’s sensational second-half volley at the Stadium of Light. The Black Cats were then later reduced to 10 men when Alim Ozturk saw red for a challenge on Gareth Evans. However, the Lads held firm to see out their first win in four attempts this season against Pompey to take an advantage into Thursday’s return leg. Speaking to safc.com, Ross refused to get carried away and was quick to refocus as Sunderland now prepare to take on Portsmouth in their own back yard. “There’s character in that dressing room from the players and staff,” he said. “People have had to work had to be involved again and be a part of this club and they did that again at the weekend. Saturday was just one step towards achieving our goal. “We’ve got another difficult one on Thursday, but we want to make sure we have another one after that too. “All season long the players have shown a real desire to get this club promoted. “We came into the game on Saturday with that determination and we got our rewards. Now, we’ve got to show the same level again on Thursday.”

www.safc.com/news/team-news/2019/may/team-news-v-portsmouthMcGeady and Watmore latestJack Ross has provided a fitness update over attacking duo Aiden McGeady and Duncan Watmore ahead of Thursday’s Sky Bet League One Play-off second leg at Portsmouth. McGeady was forced to withdraw from the first leg warm-up on Saturday after he’d initially been named in the starting XI to face Portsmouth. Watmore, meanwhile, is back in training and close to full fitness after enduring a spell on the sidelines with an ankle ligaments injury picked up at Wycombe Wanderers in March. Speaking at Tuesday’s press conference, Ross provided the latest on the pair as Sunderland look to make the most of their first leg advantage and seal their place in the final at Wembley. “Aiden’s not any different to what he was prior to the first leg,” he said. “We'll wait and make a sensible decision. “We'll see how he feels and the right course of action." He continued: “Duncan has trained well and with that in mind he’s probably put himself into my thoughts for Thursday. “We will weight that up over the next day, but he’s trained well. “He is another good option for us to have going into Thursday.”

Jack Ross has made two changes for tonight’s League One Play-Off Semi-Final second leg against Portsmouth.
Aiden McGeady once again misses out, but following his goalscoring heroics in the first leg, Chris Maguire is handed a start against his former club.
Grant Leadbitter is also called into the starting XI for the Fratton Park showdown, with Lewis Morgan and Lynden Gooch dropping to the bench.
It’s as you were in defenece, as Jon McLaughlin is protected by Tom Flanagan, Alim Ozturk, Luke O’Nien and Bryan Oviedo, with Ozturk, who was sent off against Pompey on Saturday, available after his red card was overturned.
Charlie Wyke once again leads the line, as Duncan Watmore is named on the bench.
Sunderland: McLaughlin, Flanagan, Ozturk, O’Nien, Oviedo, Leadbitter, Cattermole, Power, Honeyman, Maguire, Wyke.
Substitutes: Ruiter, Dunne, Matthews, Morgan, Gooch, Grigg, Watmore.
