According to The Sun, Sunderland defender Logan Pye is wanted by Manchester United in a £500,000 deal this summer. Sunderland's push for automatic promotion from League One really imploded, and they ended up finishing fifth after dreams of a top two finish. Any summer transfer plans will be on the back burner until the play-offs are over, but one player is already being targeted for a big move away from the Stadium of Light. The Sun claim that young left back Pye has attracted the interest of Manchester United, and they're now targeting a £500,000 deal this summer. Add-ons would be worked into the deal, with Sunderland no doubt hoping for a huge sell-on clause and additional cash for appearances and international call-ups. Pye is just 15, so is some way away from a first-team spot at the Stadium of Light, but he's earned major plaudits in their youth setup. Sunderland have recently lost Luca Stephenson to Liverpool as well as Sam Greenwood to Arsenal, and now look set to lose another top young talent to a Premier League giant.
