www.safc.com/news/team-news/2019/march/ross-remains-focused'We just want to keep turning results out' The drive for success this season has meant its business as usual as attention switches immediately to Saturday’s trip to Wycombe Wanderers, according to Jack Ross. On Tuesday, Sunderland booked their place in the Checkatrade Trophy final after seeing off Bristol Rovers at the Memorial Stadium. Will Grigg fired the Black Cats into a half-time lead, clinically hooking Max Power’s through ball home, before Lewis Morgan scored his first for the club two minutes into the second 45. That sees the Lads book their place in the final where Portsmouth wait, however, before then work in the league continues with the race for promotion heating up. “The lads are satisfied and excited about the prospect of playing at Wembley but what they’ve managed to do well over the course of the season is maintaining a balance of emotion. “This club can take you on a roller-coaster very quickly. It can take you up and down very quickly. “As a playing squad and as staff we need to maintain our emotions, and they’ve managed to do that. We’ve had some tough times and some stickier times through the course of the season. “The reality is, we’re in a good place at the minute. The squad has a good focus about it, and they understand why they are getting results at the minute. “We just want to keep turning them out,” he continued. “There’s a satisfaction in the dressing room at getting to the final, but they won’t be delighted until they’ve won it.”

Charlton V Pompey Plymouth V Luton Barnsley V Accrington
Better hope this mickey mouse stuff doesn't distract from the important thing. Wycombe have lost 4 of the last 5, including games against Barnsley & Luton.

My thoughts exactly as everyone seems to be getting carried away with a day at Wembley but it’s only good if you win, we need to get promoted which is the top priority so hoping they carry in the run of form and Wembley does not distract them.

I'd rather loose Wembley and win promotion - it's only a Mickey Mouse cup after all. Both would be good though
